The IHS website says that Coach Reed is the third coach in IHS history, but I believe she is the fourth...Barnwell, Winfrey, Maxwell, Reed. Could someone with firsthand knowledge confirm one way or the other?

Because there was so much interest at the time of hire and before, 20 how about an update on the fine girls program at Indy. Certainly the interest could happen at ant High School in the state and all can learn something from the experience.

I have not met the new coach, but will get that oppurtunity today. Coach Reed is having a social event for the community. Great idea to start things off, including IHS and the feeder middle schools. This is how you build a program, make it a community effort, with strong leadership, and watch it flourish.

Yeah buddy! Nice event with a majority of the team their. Good vibrations from everyone. Interesting twist to the event, a new athletic director was introduced, Coach Jones. He came over with Dr. Campbell (new principal) from Franklin High School. DH will remain as the boys basketball coach.

Why the change at AD?

 

This poster is sure Coach Jones will be a great AD. To give DH a great deal of credit, this gentleman has been under a great deal of stress for some time pulling double and triple duty along with possibly carrying on some duties of an acting Principal. With what he has been thru, this poster wondered if it would be all worth it in the long run. He seemed to be putting out fires in a lot of sports. He has a lot of resprct from a lot of different directions. This poster is also sure that Coach Jones would not like to redo the end of the season at the end of next season. All of this seems to be an organizational issue county wide. Going thru all of this is not enjoyable and one has to have enjoyment in their profession. One can blame it on Girls Basketball but there were a lot more than that along with changing a Principal. If DH had announced he was not going to be AD this coming year earlier, this would have been worse. It is to his credit he did not do it.
