District 8-AAA UP FOR GRABS

The win tonight over Lawrenceburg keeps Coffee hopes alive, at least until Tuesday. Great ball game. Both teams were putting the bats on the ball. Coffee put together the error free game it needed to beat Lawrenceburg. Next week is huge for Tullahoma, Shebyville and Lawrenceburg!

All three of those teams still have a shot.

This was a very big win for CC! If a team wants to get hot NOW is the time and it looks like two schools in 8AAA are doing just that! The "Basketball School" and Coffee County! Tullahoma had better go find some hits somewhere or this will be the year that could have been! Lawrence County is somewhere in the middle, but it was a very big win for the Lady Raiders which gave them more confidence going into the final games and district playoffs. Shelbyville is getting great pitching and is playing very good defense and playing with an air that I thought that they have shown. The "Football School could give some people problems during the play-offs but just do not think they have the talent this year to win but they are getting better! (Did I ever tell you how good their field looks?) Franklin County is thinking about the summer! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

Well there is no dooubt that Shelbyville has the toughest schedule. At Lincoln County, at Coffee County, at Lawrence County, home against Coffee County. Tullahoma plays Columbia and then they have Lawrence County twice. By playing Lawrence County twice, that will eliminate one of those two. Coffee County is playing as well as anybody, but they have lost 4, so I don't think they have much of a chance to win the district based on their 4 losses. If Shelbyville gets into a playoff with Tullahoma, I like their chances. We hit Jones pretty well, even thou well haven't scored many runs. I still think Tullahoma is in the drivers seat, but now I think it's down to 2 teams, Tullahoma and that basketball school. Haha.

I agree but I do think that CC and the Football School can cause some problems in the final district standing and when you start play-offs anything can happen! The Mighty Wildcats better go find them some hits and find them quickly!! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

If I were Shelbyville, I'd worry about getting by Coffee Co. not once but twice before I started planning the playoffs. If CC plays as tough as they did last night, it just may take more than a lucky swat or bobbled ball to win those games. Right now I can see it coming down to the final 2 reg. season games before anyone can claim any fame. Of course it still depends on who wins or loses. Should make the next 2 weeks interesting. Good luck to all.

You are right, should be interesting. Great pitching all year but the bats have to stay hot and have to stop making the silly blooper errors....lots of girls on the bench who can catch fly balls

CC is starting to show off the real potential that they were holding back it seems. I believe when the tourney gets here CC will be the team with momentum and I imagine they'll win the tournament, but who knows. Anything can happen in the lovely world of sports. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

But I have a gut feeling that Coach Floyd thinks he has some girls on the field that can make some catches as well! You are right CC is playing a lot better than the Mighty Wildcats if things do not change we may have to call them the Mighty Kittens and we sure do not want to do that do we? /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

He better be having something put on the scoreboard instead of his sleeve! • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
