Farragut Admirals lost a tough game last night but they are still a very good team. This could be the best team in the state and maybe the top in the nation. This loss could be bad for opponents because farragut has no pressure now and they will go out ready to kill. The Admirals had mental mistakes lastnight. The team practiced after the loss for about 2 hours at the field working on new stuff. This team is going to be very hard to beat from here on out. Good Luck Ads and Keep it up!

So much for that theory.

Crisp pitched against Farragut both times this season, losing 2-1 in the first game. Therefore he has pitched 13 innings and has only given up 3 runs against the Admirals. Crisp is a lefty whose fastball hits about 65 on the radar gun. For whatever reason, Farragut cannot stay back. Bearden didn't the first time around in the order, and then they hit him hard. Farragut has now been through the order about 5 times and they cannot make the adjustment. Surely with the 30 plus players in the dugout, someone can hit a slow pitcher?????? Farragut needs to regroup after a tough week. Their pitching looks to be very solid all the way. You have to keep them under 4 runs to have a chance. If you have a slow pitcher who can stay on the outside corner of the plate, you might be able to do just that.

    • Yeah, we came up short. I remember we threw a ball over the middle to #5 Guymon? and he came up short of the sticks. Gave em he&& for a bit though.
    • Doe dee doe doe…..hmmmmmmm one of those players can run faster than my lawnmower when I put it in 5th gear turbo.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
