Seen both play, sorry Kyler doesn't stand up to the Casteel kid, he's a man in a boys body

Kyler Burke, 1st round MAJOR LEAGUE draft choice, #35 overall.

Played against both of them, Kyler was better his senior year than Casteel is now... both can smash though..and Casteel will most likely be better than Kyler was in his senior year about a yr from now.

Casteel is very good, but I highly doubt this statement.

Update on Casteel through the 1st round of the District 5-AAA tourney. Ryan has broken the BCHS single-season RBI record with 58 as of now. He most likely will break the record for batting average at BCHS as he is currently about 30 points ahead of the all-time record held by current Bear Head Coach Travis Adams from his playing days in the mid-90's. Ryan is batting about .535. He also is 3 short of the all-time record for homers with 12 on the season record held by Dale Swafford. Ryan has broken the Bear record for saves by a pitcher as well.

Note of interest--in Friday's district tourney game vs Cleveland, Casteel slugged what appeared to be his 13th homer over the right-center field fence. However, as he was about to receive the pitch the field umpire called time as a tennis ball rolled onto the field near 1st base, making it a no pitch. The next pitch was ball 4 to Casteel. Ironically, the tennis ball was accidentally tossed onto the field by Ryan's little brother who was playing in the stands.

wow get off this kids nads i guess i saw him play in the tuhlahoma tourny against farragut wasnt that impressed pretty solid team but no superstars not saying anythis about the kid he seems to have great numbers playing in that district but cooper threw a no hitter against them so maybe it was just a bad game or weekend but best of luck to him

the first time that i saw casteel play was when he was 14. you could tell then that this kid was going to be something special. he was hitting balls out of parks all over the southeast. great kid with unreal tools, and he works hard too. one of the best players to come out of the area. burke, hodges, and him

I played with ryan for 2 years and played against kyler and watched both play for the cyclones and kyler has a better arm then casteel but casteel is the more complete player he is smart st the plate he has only struke out 2 times all year he can hit the ball to all parts of the fields and you also have to look at how many times casteel gets walked its crazy he get walked almost once or twice every game intintenally if he had those at bats there is no telling what his numbers would be kyler is good and was great his senior year but casteel has alot to prove this year he is wanting to prove to everyone he deserves what he gets because alot of people do not think he is as good as kyler but he will be like brandon turner his freshman year at UT he will make a huge impact if he doesnt go straight to the pros
