Yea but half of our starters weren't there. We had Lee Humphrey and one other starter and basically played our JV the whole time. Most of our players were sick that spring and couldn't attend the game. Big men Drew Houser and Jacob Stout both couldn't attend. Not to mention the fact that pre-season means nothing. Maryville spanks a lot of people in preseason but when the season rolls around they are all a lot harder teams. We're glad "The Hill" is so good that they can beat our JV team, well if you don't recall that game we clawed back into it and lost by only 6 or 7 points! Before you go running your mouth and talking all sorts of stuff get your facts straight, if Maryville, despite being a young team, had all their starters they might have actually made a game of it, but when you play varsity against JV, JV thats never even played a JV game before its a little rough!

There's no way anyone in the state last year could have had better fans than Maryville at football or basketball games. Of course, whats the point of having great fans unless you're actually good at a sport. Well, haha, we're dominant in both. We're obviously gonna 3-peat in football, and Humphrey's gonna lead us to state in bball, where we should have belonged last year

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
