we're finally down to 2 teams! after CBHS put Baylor away 1 to 0, and Father Ryan got over McCallie 2 to 1, who does everyone see winning this next one? it should be a great game with these two top notch teams! congrats to both for great seasons and making it so far!

hopefully the Brothers will get a win tomorrow and get state title number 7....that would be much better than 2nd place four years in a row. haha.

Saw both games...both great games. Could have as easily been a McCallie vs Baylor final. Very even games and intense. Who knows who will win...on an given day any could win. Just depends on who makes the least mistakes....like tonight. McCallie gave up one to many and Baylor made one mistake.

You are right.. this will be a great game! Both have great talent on the field... strong goalies, staunch mid-fields, impressive scoring talent... it may come down to who is truly having their "A" game for that game. Both are top notch teams who should feel great to be on the field at 2:30 on Friday. I see a close game but see Father Ryan pulling it out by a goal.

I wonder if CBHS having to play in the late semi-final game will be a factor. Having to play late and then turn around to play in the early afternoon the next day is brutal. In a game this close, the smallest edge could be the difference.

That certainly could be a factor, along with FR being able to watch the CBHS game and not vice-versa. However, the schedule is what the schedule is, and I'm certainly not worthy of questioning the all knowing, all wise TSSAA!!

christian brothers very well could have watched the Ryan game...whether they did or not is their fault

Father Ryan`s Charles Rodriguez Final penalty Kick sailed through the posts and the Purple Irish prevail in the marathon D-II State championship game...Congrats to Ryan on a great season....CBHS has nothing to be ashamed of ...Congrats to both teams

      Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?

      Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
