let's not all freak out. i still think mahaney is the best and will win. all i'm saying is that it won't be the blow out from last year.

p.s. i saw both finishes and it did seem like mahaney had more competition at the finish if that makes a difference

mahaney also went out in 450 at the classic. dont know if that helped or hurt his race

Plus it was overcast and not quite as hot at Classic as it was this Saturday. I still think Mahaney will win of course.

top 4 individuals will be about the same as last year. USJC will have some people in the top 10, MLK will have a couple people in the top 15. i don't know if any team has as much depth as station camp, they don't have anyone who is really really good, but i think that they have 10 guys under 20 (fra only has 3 or 4 i think).

I think MC ran impressively Saturday at Sharp Springs.

Mahaney is by no means unbeatable in a/aa, and on a course like Steeplechase, any given day can produce some weird times. I still think Mahaney is the favorite, but 16:31 on steeplechase is a great time by Mark Cole. Thats the fastest time by an a/aa runner on steeple chase besides mahaney in a long time.
