What does this actually mean?

I can see the smaller D2 schools of today feeling slighted yet wouldn't 300+/- figure difference be better than what some of actually have now?

Sure it would---but its not DII's choice. Its TSSAA making that decision and they have the line drawn much higher than 300.

I don't think enrollment has much impact with aid schools.

The impact comes when DI schools see where they fall in the 1/3 break down, then have to make a choice of DI or DII.

DII schools are not included in this dividing of membership by thirds for classification purposes.

As usual, DII sits over on its own and waits to see whats gonna happen next, since it has no self-governance.

I just thank God that the Z Plan has made life completely fair and all the public school participants are now totally satisfied that all playing fields are level. Of course the Z Plan obviates the necessity of a "Public-Private Debate" string but that's a small price to pay for reaching Nirvana. I understand that the Board of Control will now direct their incredible gift of peace making to something simple like the Israel Palestinian conflict.

Yes.........Life is great!

I remember attending Public school and hearing one of the Private chants:

"That's alright....That's OK

You will work for me someday!" /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

That was 20 years ago.....Guess the publics got even. Too bad I'm now on the losing side!

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
