DO YOU KNOW WHAT BOYS TEAMS ARE IN IT?

It has always been a girls only tournament. This year, they have added two boys games. I think they really want to try and keep it a mostly girls tournament. Columbia boys were wanting to stay close to home so they added two boys games to Saturday only.

Is it a tournament this year or a two game classic as in years past?

2 game classic!

It is for sure one of the class events during Thanksgiving in the State. It is also obvious that gas prices has changed the playing habits of area schools and more have taken a juimp early to get in this event instead of traveling with their fans to harder to reach areas. While all teams have not made their committment and Memphis Teams are notoriously late in commiting to events such as this every year, this will be not only a good field but most predict that it will be well attended. Usually there are a few tems out of Georgia But this poster only sees one so far. Picking up Middle Schiool teams and boys teams is a good move but has been posted, this is known as a girls high school tournament. The Rotary Club of Columbia is a class act. Its support of Columbia athletics and other things is legendary. It knows what it takes the put on a superior product. The Columbia Coaches certainly pitch to make this a great event. Columbia, as a community with this project and Mule Day, do a great service to the State and put on a front that few will forget. While it is not sure he will be there this year, this event was one of the events the Pageman picked out to help their cause. He, for some years, posted stats as a service to the event. The work Pageman has done in helping the schools in the Middle Tennesse area is legendary also. Just look at the monikers of the posters on this site and you can see those who believe that helping the community with projects like these help the students of the schools. Some of you know them and some don't but if you do, it would be great to say thank you to the great Rotarians whose name and members put on this event.

Well said. I wish Pageman could be hired to teach the Tennessean how to cover a game. He is the best around. I would like to see Columbia adopt a format like the one the "Green Bank Tournament" uses. It would take a few more days, but with this field we would get some great semis and finals.
