Don't worry about terrible language in the hallways, locker rooms and fieldhouse from other students, teachers and coaches like my children heard in public schools.

Oh don't you try and sell me that BS. Some of the most unsportsman like, spoiled, whiney, potty-mouthed, ect. kids we ever played against were from private "Christian" schools. I.e. GRACE, Knox Catholic, JCS, Goodpasture...

Alot of teams say and said they could hang with SP but getting on the field with them is a different story, plus you cant go by scrimmage's 1st down's keep alot of teams in game's unlike that 10 play stuff.

This whole deal got started just because we were happy that our team had finally started clicking and we had a great showing against a topnotch 4A team. We are not implying or meant to imply we were about to dominate anything, but some folks as you can tell lost thier mind because we had some success. Heck two weeks ago we had a very lackluster showing just ask your nieghbors down at Grace Baptist. We should do very well this season but only time will tell.

Oh I totally agree with you. And like I said, I don't know much about who y'all play, I just saw the quote from another poster about Oneida and decided to predict who would win after watching you play.

Though it was just a two play system, I think they also played a couple series using first downs...again, I think they did. But even during the ten play system, it was clear that Grace Knox had trouble getting ten yards most of the scrimmage. Now I'll give you this, it was first scrimmage. I've said it before, I still think with your size you will be fine. I just thought I would put in a few words to get off the transfer stuff.

I wasnt upset by what you said, there had been so much talk about the Central scrimmage I thought you were talking about that. (It was down and distance). I appreciate you trying to take the focus off our transfers because honestly they will help us but as far as making us a powerhouse like everybodies saying that is along way from happening.

Grace plays a very weak schedule, they should have a good record.

I hate to say but i think this is the beginning of Grace taking over the region. I don't think they will win it this year, but it is coming, and the brains at TSSAA set back and do nothing, rural schools can not compete with what they are doing. and it is just a matter of time, before they take over.

well lets see what happens when everything is said and done there is a good possibility Grace could go 10 and 0 but look at their schedule who do they play with winning records or history maybe 3 teams on the whole schedule and they should start winning more games they have been a program for 6 years now and it started turning around 2 years ago not just last year but we will see how big the talk is in a few weeks

I have to agree with Crazyness, here. The most foul-mouthed hypocritical kids in the state go to Christian schools. I've seen it one two many times. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Its not nice to poke fun at the education in Scott County. Just because you have probably never held a real job or have ever played the gam eof football doesn't mean you can talk about the fine folks up here in Scott County. Just because you have a snot nosed kid that attends Grace and just because you brought in some players that weren't loyal enough to try and stay at their home school (Clinton) and turn things around to help make you all a competitive football team in a weak region doesn't mean that you can hang with Oneida. Good job Grace you beat Central's freshman team. If you want to try and play with the bigs boys come on up the mountain and get a dose of the Indians. Go Oneida.

is this the same oneida team that was dominate in the middle school ranks? making it all the way to the championship game against cak? i never got to see that one, had to move to atlanta the monday before it, how'd it turn out? i never heard anything, yall won right?

QUOTE (GraceRamFan @ Aug 12 2008 - 03:44 PM)

Okay...whatever...now it's just getting funny........if that's how you want to cover the loss...the players and coaches know and that's all that matters...Thank God in Heaven that they left Clinton...best life move those boys could have ever made! A great choice! Go Rams

Best life move? Really?

I've been following this post today, and I think it's great that Grace beat Central. I'm happy for their players and their coaching staff. So what if some of the kids are from Clinton? Most of those kids played for Grace head coach, Randy McKamey when they were in middle school. He's a great coach, and he has a great staff. I could understand how kids who already know him would want to play for him. However, I do think it's ridiculous to say that switching from Clinton to Grace is the best life move they could make. Yes, Clinton is down. It seems like they're getting better under Andy Shattuck, but it is tough to rebuild something that was so decimated by the last coaching staff....

I'm sorry, I got off on a Clinton tangent.... Anyway, congratulations to Grace on their well-played scrimmage. Hopefully grace and onieda will meet in the playoffs and settle this ridiculous argument[/i]

I'm not sure who GraceRamFan is but I think what GraceRamFan may be saying is moving from a public school to a well established christian school is a better move overall in so many ways. I moved both my children a little over 4 years ago from a public school to GCA. My son played football and basketball through his high school years and he graduated in May 2008. My daughter is in 7th grade. They can tell you as well as myself what a great life change it is and was. Where else can you get an excellent more one on one academic education as well as a christian education? Where else can you pray and bring your bible to school? The atmosphere is so much better. As a parent I do not have to worry about drugs and alcohol being passed around in school. Don't worry about terrible language in the hallways, locker rooms and fieldhouse from other students, teachers and coaches like my children heard in public schools. I do not have any fears anymore like I did when my children attended their public school over 4 years ago and before. Many more negatives to name, not enough time.

Yes, I know good christian students go to public schools and have no problems. I have friends that are in that situation but they (the parents) do tell me that they worry when their children enter the doors of their public school. They say it is still all the above negative stuff I listed and just continues to get worse and most wish they could do as we did.......and some have.

Anyway, all the above may be what GraceRamFan was trying to say.

Grace Fan I don't know what world you live in but if you think that the kids at Grace dont use bad language use drugs smoke and other things that go on in public school you better wake up and smell the roses cause it does i know and have heard from kids at Grace first hand what goes on and a lot of stuff is swept under the rug and kept quite so dont believe for one minute that it does not happen maybe not as much but it does happen

    • The people need our help!
    • Lol when was last time they won region or got past the 3 rd round.
    • Gravedigger gotta finish filling the hole before hitting 40 East. May need a new Yellow Shirt play signaler on the Stones. And apparently a new strength coach now. Cicadas must've got shaken out of the bushes in Donelson. Hopefully the mower man sticks around to keep DG field looking pristine. Maybe new OC can call in a favor to his PGA friends that knows a thing or two about being green during the season. The heat is on soon. Bring in the 2 way freak Iceman and cool things off. He knows a thing or 2 about wildcats. Gotta take our talents South soon for Nationals. Don't step on my blue suede shoes.
