Yep, they tuned up on Henry County and now the real work is ahead.

What is their final season record? I have heard everything from 4-6, 5-5 (seems to be the most popular) to 6-4 (if they get some big breaks) Down here on the farm in Centerville the FR alumni seem to be getting restless with the football program being an average high school football team.

You need to start running around with a smarter crowd, then you will get a more accurate prediction of the record. They will win 9 games this year and continue to improve. The FR alum you speak of should have been worried about the program being average the 7 years before Lussier arrived to salvage it. It is now in Great hands.

I agree with this.

 

cbg said Ryan would be 5-5 last year. I think that is his favorite number for Father Ryan's football records.

Oh, he also says it in every Father Ryan post there is.

 

 

 

haha, well put.

 

quarterbacks were mitchell stoffer and trey mcphail on friday night. both had solid games.

      One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.

      If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.

      I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
