Whats your point? you stink and noone comes to the games, is there anything im missing? Cookeville would have a good crowd if they finished 2-9 this year. Sparta fans only show up when the going is good. Also last few games for basketball I have seen many empty seats down below.

You have no clue as usual, everyone is always on here talking about how well white county travels in basketball and your right if football was winning crowds would be crazy but we are not anyways heisman good to see another season of your stupidity looms.

The word support should never come from the mouth of a cookeville fan!!!!Pre joslin years you could here a crickett fart at cookeville home games and crowds at basketball were never there so this statement has no merit.

Another batch of moronic rambling from the BOY...

Didn't have good crowds "pre-Joslin" huh? That's funny.

You must be too young to remember but Cookeville has ALWAYS had good football crowds.

Even when playing their home games at Tech for almost 30 years with a 16k stadium.

The crowds weren't what they are now but a consistent, winning program and an on campus stadium will help do that for ya.

And basketball crowds never there? /huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />

Wow, I remember many years where the Cavs used to hand Sparta their rear ends in basketball and the stands were packed. Granted, this was back at the old school(now Avery Trace) but never say never! /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

It seems the grand history of Sparta basketball doesn't go back quite as far as you think... /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

What years in basketball are you referring to? White Co. made the state AT LEAST twice in the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's. I know all of those years Cookeville got their {rear ends as you say} handed to them. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
