This should be a really good game. Marshall Co. is the explosive team that can get up and down in a hurry with Morris & Braden leading the pack. Creek Wood is the power team that wants to hit you right in the mouth and get the ball to their bruising backs in Stokes & Bell.

 

Both of these teams are coached by two guys who love for their teams to play physical defense in Don Thomas & Chuck Daniel. After last week with both teams defenses giving up 36 & 42 respectively it is expected that this week's defensive practices will be much more intense.

 

 

Can't wait to get the scoreboard updates on this one next Friday night!!!!

Did anyone from Marshall Co. see Hightower blitz on that play near the end of the first half last Saturday night and almost kill that fullback from Clemson?????

 

I never saw Don'ta play THAT PHYSICAL in a high school game. He looks like he's been hitting the weights hard and looks like a future All-SEC performer easily.

i m lookin for the tigers to have a big game on offence both on the ground and through the air. i was fairly impressed with the way they moved the ball against a pretty good hickman county defence. Morris threw the ball well and led the offence very well when asked upon. i think he will surprise a lot of people this season. Justin Braiden is as good as advertised as he was very effective running the ball along with Cody Tucker who is a great addition to the tigers this year with his down hill running. the tigers have a very dependable recieving core that consists of Tears, Tedejewski, Peterson, and Carter. I just don t see Creek Wood stopping this mature offense. Look for Marshall to put some points on the board this week and the Don Thomas defense to play more like we here at Marshall County are used to.

For the Marshall Co. offense to outscore Hickman Co. is very impressive. The Bulldogs are explosive. Sowell is like "lightning in a bottle" for them. That shows how great Braden & Morris and those receivers are for Marshall.

 

With that said however there's no way I'd rate the Hickman Co. defense as one that is "pretty good" because that was really the Bulldogs downfall last year. On defense Hickman is not very good. That is what is holding them from really being a team that can go all the way to the Boro and play Alcoa for a state title. Offense for Hickman is awesome. Defense for Hickman is awful.

      Im asking everyone to keep roy whited and his family in your prayers. Coach whited won back to back state championships at white county in 98-99. He is very well liked and respected in this area. For those of you that dont know he went missing 3 days ago. No one knows where he is. His truck was found in a rural part of the county. Thanks again. We are all very concerned.

      I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.

      Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
