Brooke Zeis - Defender, Freshman, Blackman, MSC Strikers

Brooke and Jenna have stepped into filling some big shoes for Blackman on defense at the lose of Grace Peacock and Carrie Gresh. They both place and clear the ball well. Have big kicks, too...

Chelsea Hall - Forward, Freshman, Blackman, MSC Strikers

Chelsea has great speed. With a little bit more ball control, she will be someone to reckon with in years to come. Has scored several goals and has had several assists so far this year.

Katie Smith - Forward, Sophomore, Blackman, MSC Strikers

Katie is recovering from knee surgery, but should be back for the end of the season. Biggest scorer for Blackman at this point in the game.

Ashley Johnson, 9, Montgomery Central

 

Anchor and leader of a defense that currently starts 3 freshmen. Has what I like to call a high "Soccer IQ." Would probably get a lot more attention would it not be for her playing out in the country at MCHS.

Oakland High School has a great base of freshman and sophomores. This group along with first year coach, Jeff Boynton have really turned things around for the Lady Patriots. They have already won more games and scored more goals this year, than in the past 3 or 4 years combined. They are:

What is there record for the season?

4-6-2 but competitive against everyone they have played except Riverdale. Lost to Tullahoma 2-1 and to Shelbyville 2-0. Tied Livingston Academy 1-1. As they all gain experience, confidence, and chemistry; they are getting better and better. We are hoping for a good showing in the District Tournament.

Two outstanding players I don't see are 2 from Shelby County Schools in Germantown TN (both represented the state ODP 94 team. Both are making a huge difference on their High school teams.

Gracie Irby, 9th grade defender, Germantown High School, 93 MSFC

Great add Soccerfan58! I don't think that Houston parents are "allowed" to chat on Coach T (at least from what I have heard)....so they could have been overlooked. Both players are huge contributers to their teams, and Olivia earned a spot on the Region 3 ODP pool, too. For Germantown, both Taylor Morgan (MF and Lady Lobos 93) and Heather Holcomb (MF and Lady Lobos 93) are starters for Germantown Varsity.
