From what I've seen this season carter has won against sub-par opponents and lost whenever they play anyone decent. Seymour on the other hand is coming off a huge win against a good 5A team in Sevier county. This years eagles are playing physical ball. Carter struggles when teams actually hit them. Seymour goes to Carter and hits them in the mouth and dominates against a carter front that looks more physical than it actually plays. If the Eagles will run they can move up and down the field with a good stable of backs. Carter hasn't seen a back as physical as #47. Eagles pull the upset 24-14!

Okay SHSEagle 05 listen carter does not struggle when you hit them in the mouth because they are usually the ones doing the hitting in the mouth. Of course the hornets have not beaten a great team yet but neither has Seymour so your argument is gone. Carter has a great backfield and a solid oline. Stats prove it #28 has over 100 yards a game that is proof the oline is solid. Also they get great help from the fb he probably will never get the ball but he is a great blocking back. By the way in the last 3 years (the time #47 has played) they have not scored a touchdown on the hornets, NOT EVEN A FIELD GOAL!!! so get over it!! Carter remains undefeated in region 1 3A and sends Householder out with style..... CHS 35 SHS 14

Carter had the same record last year going into this game and still came away with a shut out. This game has nothing to do with records or strength of schedule. When Carter and Seymour play the hatred flows and everything that has happened earlier in the season is thrown out the window. Rivalry games are played totally different than most games. Carter doesn't get beat in this game imo

SporNut624, I got a nephew on Seymour's team. I will tell you this.....them boys are hankerin' to get that bad taste of defeat out of their mouths. He, IMBiasedO, is a real solid contributor to their team. Seymour is kinda my second team and that boy is like my own son. Carter has found a way for some time now......Kazeeto says this is the year it ends. My other teams currently has my prediction score at 100%.(Heck, they even got one of my scores exactly right.....to the number) Seymour probably won't be as accurate because I haven't actually seen them play this year, but my boy keeps me pretty well informed. (his daddy does, too!) If they are what I think they are:

Householder - 24

Carter - 14

Good pick Kazzy, I like the score to be close to that as well, no wonder your screen-name sounds a lot like a Geenie's! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

I agree. In a rivalry game like this one you can throw out how the teams have done in previous weeks. Both teams will come in fired up and ready to play. Seymour hasn't forgotten the last three years. This game has been circled for a full year now. It will be attitude that decides this one. Who can get up after taking one on the chin. From what I've seen from both teams Seymour can take a hit then give one back. They won't stop coming. Carter seems to struggle physically against teams that come to play. I think this one stays close for a while but Seymour dominates up front...especially late in the game against an overmatched carter front 7. Carter looks good against PF and Claiborne but when they play somebody that isn't scared, they get beat late in the game when it comes down to attitude. I promise you this, seymour won't back down... Look for them to pull away late and expose carters weakness...a steady diet of physical football

Were obviously going to disagree but i don't think there is any way that Seymour dominates up front. Carter's lines are more solid this year compared to last year especially on defense. You keep talking about how Carter doesn't play well against the physical teams, but they played with AE and beat Karns who is a very physical team up front just doesnt have the playmakers to finish games out. You talk about how Carter doesn't have any quality wins, but Seymour has only beaten Cocke Co, Grainger co (who is down this year), and Sevier co. AE and Bearden are better then any team Seymour has played thus far. Sevier co was a descent win as Karns was a descent win for Carter. The only way I see Seymour winning is through the passing game, but they first have to stop Carter's runningbacks.

    • Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
    • I am going to assume you are not a lawyer, and most reasonable lawyers would not say the lawsuit has a zero percent chance in court. I agree with you that a coach has the ability to dismiss anyone from a team. However, Ms. Winfree was never presented with the opportunity to present her witnesses and have them tell the coaches and administrators what they heard. A lawyer could better explain the lawsuit and the grounds to you. Before you start making wild assumptions about the lawsuit, would it be too much to ask that you do a little legal research first? The lawsuit is dealing with due process, loss of property, and defamation.   You can read the lawsuit here: https://bdnewsletter.files.wordpress.com/2024/04/doc-1-complaint-filed-4-18-2024.pdf
    • The administration took the path of backing the coach and whispering to people that the kid was a problem. The reality is that the kid was never a problem on a team or classroom. The player says she has witnessed who back her not saying the f-word.  Why did the coach make that story up and other stories? I am not Sigmund Freud and do not have an answer for the ex=-coach's behavior..
    • I think they have they coach they want close to being done. I guess we will all see how this plays out. I hope the hire a good one. There are some players in the box for the next coach to work with.
