Would someone please explain to me the rationale for allowing private schools to play in the public school division? I know they use the multiplier to try to make it fair, but that doesn't seem to work. It is obvious the private schools have a pretty big advantage. It is seen in all sports, but I think it is more of an advantage in soccer than in anything else. It appears to me that the private schools have a much larger percentage girls that play club soccer than the public schools. That alone causes an uneven playing field. The economics of the private schools alone contributes to this, as more parents have the ability to allow their daughters to play club soccer. Do not take this wrong. I am not against club soccer, but I think the private schools should play in their own division. If there is any doubt that the prvate schools dominate A/AA, just look at the rankings.

There is a whole thread about this here Public Private debate

Feel free to continue this question there. It has been discussed a lot, but being new to the boards, you might not have seen the replies.

All that I see on that forum relates to specific schools. I was just asking a generic question that I have been curious about for several years. If there is a simple explanation, I would just like to know. Not trying to stir the pot or get anyone upset, just curious.

Gibbs and Carter are going AAA?

That would make things interesting. And not necessarily in a good way. Who would be left in district 3 and 4 for A/AA looks like AC is moving up as well. I'm not complaining about losing teams in our district b/c we have so many. But it looks like 3 of the top half of our district is moving up. G, that would make is seem like our districts may get combined or certainly reconfigured. I know you wouldn't miss your trips to Stone, Scott, and Oneida, and I won't miss any trips to Cosby. HMMMMMMMM. Again, how sure are you of some of this MJUHB?
