The 2009-2013 classification breakdowns for D-I and D-II are now posted on the TSSAA website. Schools had until noon today (CST) to make the D-I/D-II election. And the TSSAA has posted those results and the classification breakdowns.

 

Buc---you were correct in your calculations. Boyd is in Class A. By 6 schools. The break between A and AA is 519-----I think somebody actually called that number earlier. Its Loretto at 519 in A. South Greene at 531 is the lowest in AA.

 

Riverside Christian did go D-II.

 

Tell Boyd to send a thank you to all those former D-I privates that left to go to D-II and good luck in D-I next season.

Don't know how many Riverside Christian there are, but the one out of Lincoln Co plays football...

None of those teams will be in your class for the playoffs unless you move up. A-E...Fulton...and Carter very well could be in your regular season district. That is...for football.

It looks like AE is going to slip down into the 3A playoff group, as they are in the bottom half of AA schools. If Alcoa did move up, wouldn't they have to go all the way up to AAA? If so, they would jump all of these teams, and be 5A for playoff purposes.

Unfortunately most people think Goodpasture, David Lipscomb and Westmoreland will be competing against each other to make the playoffs. I saw a view of Westmoreland's possible schedule already and it look like this before DCA went to the private division

 

DCA(now possibly David Lipscomb)

Goodpasture

White House

Greenbrier

Sycamore

Springfield

 

My next suggestions to put on that schedule in my opinion would be

Macon Co.

Trousdale Co.

Portland

Allen Co. Scottsville Ky

At least these would make great gates for Westmoreland next season and the travel time would be cut down. Supposedly that is the main reason for this type of reclassification format from what I'm hearing. I may be wrong though.

Yes. I too expect David Lipscomb to move and "replace" DCA since they have decided to move up to D-II. Whites Creek & Maplewood are AA for the next 4 years anyway. They'll join Stratford, East Literature, Pearl Cohn, & CPA (add Hume Fogg & MLK for non-football sports).

 

 

I wonder what CPA is thinking about this district????????

 

 

 

 

David Lipscomb, White House, Greenbrier, Sycamore, Westmoreland, & Goodpasture will all make up another district in AA.
