Unfortunately I will not be able to attend Friday night. I haven't missed but a couple of games in the last 5 years, but duty calls, and I won't be able to travel to heritage. I will have my laptop so somebody beeter be posting some game information!

Heritage's record is not good, but that doesn't mean they are not a good team. What should we expect?

Good Luck Owls! One game at a time!

Don't know much about Heritige, but I do think the owls take this one. What does anyone know about 'em? Big,fast...pass,run alot?

I don't believe Heritage has ever beaten the Owls since this region was created. Ooltewah will have far more athletes. It should not be a competitive match up. I'm not trying to be mean spirited, but this is the worst AAAAA team in east Tennessee.

Dont be worried about speaking the truth. Thats what this forum is for.......where are all the hardcore Owls fans @? Didnt see one of them comment on the Bears game? I think Owls will win handedly with the running game as usual, with that being said is the G-gun package i ve heard so much about gonna work or has it worked-----didnt get to the game last week to see it was pulled out of the hat.

Heritage is still trying to improve the program i like what they are doing and i think their kids play with heart and passion but it will take some time for them to be a contender. Owls are very solid this year and im really getting excited for two weeks from now. But right now both Farragut and the Owls cannot overlook anyone and take it one step at a time. Owls big but hertiage will play tough.

Owls-42

Usually, when you have a 1A-4A team with a bad record, you can surmise they might be playing up against larger schools and a bad record might not reflect the actual quality of the team.

But when you have a 5A team with a bad record, you usually have a bad 5A team.

Ooltewah by 5 TD's.

HornedOwl... Will the band be coming to Heritage? What was up with the second quarter arrival Friday night?

Did anyone else feel Bradley conceded the game at the begining of the 3rd quarter? They took #5 out from running back and only used one man to cover two receivers. Hopefully this week we will air it out long at least once during the game.

Go Owls.. I'll be there. Any suggestions on where to eat before the game?

I saw the Soddy/ Heritige game and I thought that Heritige was a OK Football team, but their play calling was Horrible. For Example, In the 1st half Heritiage had the ball and was moving it on the ground off tackle left, then off-tackle right. They picked up 3 or 4 1st downs by getting 4 or 5 yards at a clip. When they would get down in Soddy's side of the field they would start throwing it. Leaving themselves with 2nd and long or 3rd down and long and they would have to punt or went for it.

Owls by how many they want it to be.

It is my understanding that #5 got injured. I don't think they conceded. I think they were frustrated. They band arriving late irritated me as well. It's not like we were playing very far away.

I can't attend Friday night......I'm depending on you guys to post on CoachT as soon as possible after the game. I will be experincing symptoms of Owls withdrawal by then /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

#5 rolled an ankle but had 120yds in 10 carries before the injury

#10 was still nursing a high ankle sprain and didn't play

three fumbles inside the Oolt 30 and one of those on the three kept the defense on the field way too much and finally got tired.

nobody gave up.

not sure if either one of these players will be back this week

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
