District 3A and Region 2A

Anybody know anything on the other district in the region? Sounds like nobody thinks any of those teams will have much of a chance... and how good is the boy that transferred to greenback???

 

 

Wartburg is the class of the other district and I dont know much about the other teams

I don't know much, but I believe it will not be a cake walk for Wartburg in district 4A. They do have the most back from last season, but that doesn't equal automatic champions. Oneida and Oliver Springs have enough to knock them off from the preseason top spot!

And speaking of teams in both districts(Grace, Greenback, Harriman, OS, Wartburg, Onieda, Rockwood)....does any one have any scrimmage results/recaps to speak of???

I wouldn't use the word good, but they are good compared to the team that they had last year. They didn't lose anything and there yung talent has improved. #25 i don't no his name but he has improved tremendously and the Duncan kid who got hardly any playing time last year except with 2 or 3 seconds left in a quarter to give the newberry kid a break has improves also n should get more playing time this year and might be their 6th man and might even find his self in the starting line-up before the season is over. any other info please input?

OS has 3 returning starters in PG, SG, PF. They also have two other post players that have played varsity minutes during crunch time. Inexperienced but talented bench.

 

Onieda returns everyone except a starting post and their 6th man(a guard). Plus their original PG (who was hurt all year last year) will be back. He is a scorer and handles well. The only question will be is how will the new coach effect them?

 

Like i've said before, top 3 in that district will be tight.

I think Grace will take district again and I had thought Greenback would be tough again, I wonder how many play football, Grace is still without 2 starters until football is over. But I think Harriman will suprise alot of people and may give everyone a run for there money, can't wait for it all to start.

Oneida has 5 seniors and 5 juniors that can all play... sub 5 at a time and not lose a stride... plus a post thats a sophomore that should pull some V time.... 4a will be a toss up

Yes,we got beat if thats the way you want to look at it,we also got beat by them last year in the preseason SCRIMMAGE. We also will be without two starters for the next TWO weeks because of the playoffs,OS will be tough this year they have some good size.It will be alot tighter region than you think,I still dont think you will win your district,much less make it back to the boro where you got embarrased by the team who just beat us by nine at their house, even though we will not be able to compete wih the likes of manassass and union city they need to go back to the five A classifications so true 1A schools can compete. University got killed at the boro.NO competion.

Yes we got beat and played bad but if you want to talk about last year we can. Grace beat Greenback 4 times last year so I can see why you might be a little bitter and want to hate. Grace will return to state this year and will be better prepared by a tougher schedule this year. Grace returns 70% of its scoring and will be mush improved on defence. But we will settle it on the court just like last year.
