Wow!!!

You complain about lack of respect from TSSAA toward MUS and BA and then disrespect Harding and Davidson with the attendance snub. Pot meet kettle.

I'm going to encourage the "300" fans from Harding and Davidson to keep their prime seats to watch the second game. You see, I'm just happy to be at state and don't care when they play it!!

I don't think he meant it as a shot at Harding and Davidson, but at the TSSAA. I believe kick-off is at 1:00 PM, on a work/school day. There will be people connected with the schools who will take the day off, but there will be very few there who just want to see a good football game. A lot of people would like to see the game; they just won't be able to do so. It will be a poorly attended financial disaster, and the poster who said that the TSSAA will spin it as a lack of interest in Div II football is dead on.

OK. I can see your point. I have to admit that its not the best day or time for a state championship for those not associated with the schools. But the comment about "no more than 300 showing up" is a slap in the face of both schools.

Thanks AP.

In view of that info, I am going to go out on a limb and make predictions for the rest of the way. Please note: I could pick any of the teams after Round 1. These are guesses to stimulate discussion and will be updated weekly until the end of the season.

Round 1

McCallie @ Ensworth

BA @ BCS

CBHS @ MBA

BGA @ MUS

Round 2

BA @ Ensworth

MBA @ MUS

Championship

BA vs MUS

Champ

MUS

4 of 4 in Round 1.

2 of 2 in Round 2.

1 of 1 in the Championship.

Good job 3yards! I'm calling you for BCS picks

To heck with BCA picks, I'd like Florida's lotto numbers for Saturday (and if you're right, I'll send you a crisp $5.00 bill).

I will be glad to help both of you for a small fee.

However, I am sure my luck will run out when there is $ on the line.

    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
    • Dorian Eskridge had a great Junior year, highlighted by a great game to lead HVA to an upset win at OR that year. I think that was 2010. In 2011 OR won at HVA. OR had a real good QB that year l think. Dorian Eskridge had a great senior year also. He always played hard from the DCM videos l saw.
