Macon County vs Dekalb County

At least we agree about God, country, family, and community.

You have the right to try and police what you think is crap. However, some people would say your opinion about the tiger program is crap. And what you don't seem to get is that those people have that right too!

I could care less if you agree with me about anything. I don't 'police' anyone, I'm not a mod and don't have time to be one. And finally, how did you manage to take this discussion to people's rights. Don't try to guess if I get it or not. I fully understand that I'm exercising my right when I take on the coach bashers and haters here. Now, what is your point exactly? Are you telling me that you think my opinion about the tiger program is crap? If so fine, I know what your name fedup means now. I must say I am honored that your first post here was directed at me.

I think Dekalb will win big and Coach Trapp has really turned the Tigers around this season lead by junior QB and Mr. 3A football Hunter Poteete.

I think some of the credit is to go to the new offensive coordinater at DC, Lynus Martin has beenin call the plays this season and you can really tell a difference. I agree from what i've gathered MC won't be able to stop DC's offense, and MC's offense is pretty stagnant. Dekalb 31 Macon 7

I hope Dekalb goes to Macon with an agenda other than 28 point victory. Dekalb needs to make an attempt to establish an effective run game. They will need it in the playoffs. Both teams we could possibly meet in the playoffs have experienced secondarys. So we need to be able to run the football to be effective in the playoffs. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Dekalb County Fans,

Haven't seen you guys play yet this season...Could you give us an idea of what offense the DC Tigers are running? And is Poteete running by design i.e. keepers, bootlegs, option?

Poteete is the leader of a high octane offense primarily through the air. Poteete is also an exceptional athlete who averages 8yds per carry , primarily because he is feeling pressure. But make no mistake he may be as dangerous on his feet than he is with his arm. Pick your poison. Where Dekalb needs to improve is running the football with their running backs so we can preserve leads. We were up 14-0 against Station Camp and could not hold it. This will be key in the playoffs. /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />

Yeah youthpastor96 don't you wish you was back here at DCHS you would be part of a winning team and with Coach Trapp who will be coach of the year and where Hunter Poteete will Mr. 3A Football. I had you for Alg. 2.

Man, you don't even know. I got to help out a little in the spring and got to know the program a little better. I've talked with coach trapp after every game this year and still feel a part of Tigers Football. I'm 2.5 hours away plus timezone change but still rooting you guys on. Tell Payne congrats on the golf state title for me.

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
