Beech with the easy win.

I think Beech does have to be the favorite here but I will be suprised if it is an easy win for them. Don't let the 6-4 record fool you. Tullahoma is a pretty good football team. There 2 losses to Hillsboro & Maplewood got a little out of hand late. They lost 7-6 to Whites Creek in a monsoon and 17-14 in OT to Lincoln County at "The Pit." I think it will be a close one tonight.

Beech is an excellent football team as their 9-1 record indicates. They are the only team to beat Hendersonville, a team that won their tough 5-A Region and lost only to White House, a team that won their 3-A Region. Tullahoma is a solid football team. The Wildcats QB needs less than 60 yards passing to surpass 2,000 yards and their top running back needs around 60 yards to reach 1,000 yards rushing. Tullahoma can win this game. I think its one of the better matchups in the state playoffs between a #4 seed at a #1 seed.

if the Tullahoma "D" is decent at playing the run, they can win this game--otherwise Beech takes it--they have two good RB's--they use them a ton, and then sneak in a pass every once in awhile--also Beech's QB is on the short side -he puts quite a bit of arc on his passes, they have a tendency to hang up in the air-an enterprising LB or DB could have a pick or two in this game---should be a close game either way

    • I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.
    • Robbed you guy at a chance of 3 state championships. You never kne, sond best team in the west my have beat you also, but you sure deserved the chance to play um.
    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
