The redistricting proposal I submitted

A lot of those ideas are good ones in a local sense--the challenge is to fit them into a reasonable statewide map. (And I can state with confidence that I haven't created anythin nearly as horribly misshapen as the 4th Congressional--then again, those redistricters work under constraints far more severe than anything here.)

I think a lot of politicking is going on with this format. JMO Most of your districts do not make any sense at all.

If the Owls and Soddy would have to change to the District you submitted I would Vote keep region 2 5A together it would be cheaper on gas than what you proposed and isn??™t that what the schools and TSSAA were trying to accomplish in the first place.

Hey Sarge

I bet today's meeting will be a long / loud one. We'll know more tomorrow I guess. No one seems to want to go to Soddy.. Its a beautiful area but you can't get there from anywhere.....

Unfortunately Ooltewah & Soddy always get the boot by TSSAA as far as regions are concerned. The one thing they (politicians) failed realize when trying to balance regions how well these two team could compete. this is where the Mega Region 2 5A came into existence the Owls were pick last that year and won the region. Now they want a re-do (pick their Favorites), but yet DB and others keeps the same schedule. I guess I am crying too much so I will now shut up and let the so called experts decide the fate of a Great Region like 2 5A. Go Owl's!

Region 2 5A will win THE BIG ONE.....................................................2008

well, it's now official, like the "wise olddevil" and I said, the Patriots and the Cougars will be placed in District 10AAA.......just like the good Ol'Days!!! We may fill the barrel with "koolaid" to celebrate! Looking forward to revisiting some of those schools in football!

    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
