Tennfootball1
I heard coach Cooper resigned at unicoi. Any chance a new coach can turn things around for the devils?
CoachSwitzer
Why can't they win any games? Players? Coaching? Administration? Explain Please.
SPLITBACK
Why can't they win any games? Players? Coaching? Administration? Explain Please. Yeah I agree, I wanna know this too. rebelrebelman
Well, it's Unicoi. So, it pretty much amounts to nobody cares. Maybe if the administration went through a rigorous hiring process, instead of hiring the first bum they see, winning would be a little easier. Do you think they would hire a 19 year old that can coach part time? /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> My resume is pretty good. I've played madden for a long time, so I think that puts me ahead of whoever they were already considering. Also, I promise to get some visitor stands on the other side of the field. I know how embarrasing it is to have to sit on the same side as the other team when you are killing them. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
MDCoach
I coach just over the mountain and from what I can gather I would love to have a shot at this job. Is this a job that is just for a "homer". Or are the powers that be ready to try somebody who doesn't owe anybody anything but the best job they can do? Tennfootball1
I honestly think they would consider hiring someone who had no previous ties to the team from what I've heard. It might be what they need. Also madden experience would be more than enough to land a job.
CoachSwitzer
Is there any administrative support? What would be a realistic goal for them?
PlayFearless101
If I was any team in this area, like Unicoi, I would like to hire an assistant coach from South that is ready to be a head coach. It is clear, at least to me, that Carter is the best coach in the mountain lakes, and they are always the most prepared, and seem to be the biggest, strongest and fastest, meaning they have successful off season workout programs also. Unicoi should have very high expectations moving down into that new division. If they schedule non conference games they can win and get the right coach in there then I would see no reason why they couldn't finish .500 or better for a few string of years. HiGipper
They have the athletes over there just look at all their State championships in baseball and their basketball is near or top of the conference almost every year. That may be the problem top athletes are not playing football because of the losing mentality. If a coach could go there and get all the athletes out and set up a good feeder system this could be a good opportunity for a coach to build a program, with the classification changes etc..... 5wide
So is the coaching search underway now or are they gonna wait till after the holidays? When are they looking at bringing someone in?
