Mitchell vs DL again.

All I want to know is this, are the Lipscomb students going to rush the field like they did last year in Memphis??

They only rushed a part of the field in Memphis last year. The field was quickly quarantined off by game officials and law enforcement. Not sure of how many students will be in attendance, due to the holidays. So if there is not enough students to rush the field....we'll let the mothers rush the field.

What has Page done lately????????????????????? You're the one providing a lot of mouth from a school that has not done anything lately, or ever for that matter.

What is so crazy about all of your posts are that you're trying to take all of Lipscomb's accomplishments and turn them into Region 5 accomplishments.

Lately....how long ago is lately...how far is a signature road victory???

Page made the semi-finals two yrs in 97-98......and multiple playoff appearances since. We have had 27 players go on to play college football during that time that I can account for.

I am proud of REGION 5 accomplishments...yes...even when Greenbrier was part of the region.

Yes. I am providing a lot mouth....I always do at playoff time and continue that even if my team gets eliminated. Your name implies east Tn......don't you think with that title...your argument with me concerning Region 5 is moot....especially since i am rooting for a more specific area. You come on here and spout out all kinds of meaningless posts with NOTHING to back them up about any decent team in the east and no one in class 3a

What has Knox Cath done lately.....would poor little Page have more semi-final appearances than you?

You had better watch out and not get beat by another Middle Tn team this week.

On the field rushing topic, in my opinion, a team/student body should never rush an opposing team's field.

With the DL football tradition, storming the field should occur in 2 instances: a last second win over a rival (Goodpasture and potentially a formidable region opponent now) or a semi-final win to advance to Murfreesboro.

Yea I agree with you here....Lipscomb goes to state every year and of course an east team usually beats them every year...like Fulton or Livingston...etc...but maybe a dramatic win at home like Giles county...but come on .....act like you have been there...but we will see who rushes the field in the boro....Alcoa...Catholic....Maryville...just to name a few..

Bulldog, don't waste your time with this guy. I know him. For those who are interested in the playoff info on Page and Catholic:

Page has been to the playoffs 9 times. They have an 8-9 record and have played 10 different teams. They have advanced twice to the semifinal game in 97 and 98 losing both times to Melrose.

Catholic has been to the playoffs 17 times. They have an 13-17 record and have played 20 different teams. (9 years of the 17, they entered the playoffs in the (*) asterix division or what we call D-II. Catholic has not advanced to the semifinal game as a member of Division I. In Divison II or the * division they lost in the finals in 2003 to BGA and lost in the semifinal in 2003 to Briarcrest. In the *asterix divison, you can play 2 games and play in the state championship game.

I've never said a thing about East Tn. I think you've gotten your arguments all mixed up

vandy1, can I assume from your comments that easttnfootballexpert is a Catholic guy. He wouldn't bother to reply when I asked.

I wouldn't quite classify him as a "Catholic Guy" he's more of a homeletic guy. He knows as much about Lipscomb football as he does East Tennessee football.

I have seen many different things on this thread. My opinion is that Friday night will be the toughest game of the year for DL. Mitchell will bring their best game and have obviously learned from their losses this year. However Lipscomb will respect Mitchell and bring their best game. Two advantages Lipscomb has is 1) they are at home. Vandy1 can you tell me in the last 10 yrs how many games Lipscomb has lost at home? The answer is not many. Also every time Lipscomb has played Mitchell they have won. Lipscomb hasn't changed much from last year and neither has Mitchell which means it will be a great game. Also Coach Mac is the best Coach in Tennessee history. Whoever thinks Lipscomb winning a the state title was a fluke is dead wrong. The reason they won is Fulton could not keep from jumping offsides.

Lastly Rogers will be the difference in this one. Giles did a good job of slowing him down but he will rise to the occasion on Friday night. Lastly someone stated that lipscomb was scared of the east well the last times we played Tyner we beat them at home twice. Alcoa beat us once but we beat them once as well.
