HAHAHA......CoachT, we will be long gone before that happens! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> They have been having these games for somewhere around 8 years now. How much does this HOF cost?

I think the first games were in 2002-03.

BAM! You said a mouth full. You are 110% correct!

Let me add this: All the games matter to the players. This conversation does not occur between the parties that be when the shoe is on the other foot. We can pontificate all we want, but Memphis Central had to fight hard to beat both Millington and Bartlett, two of the finest teams in the district, probably in the state if you let West Tennessee have a vote that counts. Give the Lady Warriors their props. This is not the same song we hear when the other teams win.

By the way, Coach Gat, you've always been more gracious than this; I'm a little surprised. We've all played games back to back during scrimmages and play days. How is the schedule less rigorous when the teams play in the state tournament? Both Millington and Bartlett went to State last season and Millington returns all five starters. Memphis Central has two new freshmen in the starting lineup.

No excuses.

In the state tournament all the teams play the same amount of games...that's all I said. It's never set up where any teams play 3 games in less than 24 hours. The Lady Warriors won. If the shoe was on the other foot, I would still give that caveat about the other team not having the rest that we did. It's not like we played some cupcake teams this weekend. We played 3 very good teams and had to work for every point. I was tired coaching those 3 games and I can't imagine what my players must have felt. I gave no excuses. However, to not see that one team was fresher than the other would be a huge misrepresentation of what happened. You can't say that a team that has 24 hours of rest versus a team that has played while that team was resting wasn't given a tougher task. If Central wasn't a great team then I would say not really but being that we are both very tough to compete against then it's obvious. Overton played us man to man full court all game while Central was resting. We had roughly 3 hours to rest after that and then play Central that played us man to man almost the entire game. It's not rocket science. Which would you chose 3 hours of rest and play a tough team or 24 hours of rest and play a tough team?

I think it was '01-'02 after looking at a schedule on here. None-the-less, does TSSAA have a plot of land picked out yet for this HOF? (No reponse needed)

You may be right. I had looked back at schedules, too, but our setup was different then and they are not listed the same way. 2002-03 is as far back as I could find a HOF listing.

No excuses.

Allow me to remove myself from the conversation.......

You are exactly correct??¦. I wasn??™t attempting to make any excuses about ANY game on the behalf of BHS. My discussion was in regards to whether or not you count Hall OF Fame games. My rationalization and examples were intended for the purpose of giving examples as to why you may not want to count them (WIN or LOSE) but treat them as pre-season games. My thought for saying that is because some teams will play test rotations, go deeper into their bench then usual and play back-to-back in situations etc etc etc.... that will not be the case in real season play.

Let me be perfectly clear ???CENTRAL IS GOOD?????¦. They have just as good of a shot of making it to the glass house (Boro) as any team in West TN (and they could win it all). And if they do make it: I for one will be right there supporting and cheering for them because they are a classy group of players, parents and coaches.

(Hopefully BHS will be in the mix come March??¦..)

Now I'm offically out of this discussion.... hehehe /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Good luck all /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Perhaps I overreacted a bit; most ball parents can be protective. I'm just not used to the conversations after the game veering from the game itself and how it was played, to whether or not the darn game should even be counted. You both gotta admit that was unusual. But I do believe you both to be honorable men, and I have gleaned from your posts that you are coaches who accept no excuses from your players. You usually analyze the games, give kudos and move on.

I was just caught off guard and reacted accordingly. My best to all the ladies, coaches, and parents as well. I am a huge fan of Memphis girls' basketball and have ferociously defended our districts many times and I'd do it again!

By the way, I'm also a huge fan of DoYouKnow.....you too Coach Gat.

If they play them, they should count them. I believe it is spineless not to count the losses just because the rule says you do not have to.

I see your point. A lot of people have better win percentages because of counting the HOF wins and not counting losses. Let's either count these as games or count them in the number of scrimmages in the preseason

    • We, SP, blanked them 10-0 in sectional game during 21 season.
    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
