Riverdale/Dickson?

The RHS DC game was postponed to tomorrow night (SAT) at 7 o'clock.

It would seem that this rescheduling would really benefit Riverdale. From what I hear, Dickson was already in Murfreesboro and Riverdale didn't want to waste all their speed by playing a physical Dickson team in the mud.

I bet that it doesn't benefit DC to drive back home and then come back again the next day.

Get a grip man! I guess you weren't anywhere close to Murfreesboro tonight b/c the lightening bolts were jumping everywhere! Not playing was in everyones best interest, players and fans alike! Good luck to both teams tommorow!

Well, opening weekend is usually full of mistakes and glitches. And this can be said for CoachT members as well.

Apparently someone was submitting "predictions" in the "scoreboard" page.

And unsuspecting just1np believed what he read.

Sorry for the confusion, as I'm sure CoachT is also.

Thanks for not making fun of me too much. ;)

As for the game...

I had a game postponed when I was a sophomore. It resulted in a somewhat sloppy game. It was against Beech, and I think it ended up like 35-14 or something. It wasn't fun to watch. I hope this isn't the case with RHS/DC.

Good luck to both!

This one was a pretty good game. Dickson County did a great job all night, but the Warrior offensive line finally came together a little in the fourth quarter. Penalties were a problem for both teams. The field was in great shape, even though lightning knocked the lights out Friday night.

Riverdale's defense only allowed 7 points, which I liked. Our offense needs to get it together, though. The game was down to the wire, which is how football should be. Good luck to Dickson County the rest of the year.

    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
    • If Heritage moves down and Alcoa moves up the best thing for Heritage is to do what William Blount did when theystopped playing Maryville or meet certain defeat. Honestly can't see Alcoa not moving up the way the county is growing. Might be in the Mountaineers best interest to stay in 5A because none of those teams on their schedule are anything close to Alcoa.
    • I say over as well. Barney, regarding the move to 4A, will the cross-town blowhards move up as well??
