Sounds a lot like LA's type of defense. Only there is nothing basic about it when LA does it.

LA was not ready to play at UHS. They did not shoot well--and--their defense was not 'up to par'. Sometimes teams get distracted.----- With no offense meant toward anyone,IMO, the scoring record distracted them somewhat.------ This team will 'take care of business' tonight!----- Tonight, will be the first step, in peaking just right for the post season.-----They are a great team. They will learn from the loss at UHS, and be better from it. --------------GO H-O-G-E-Y-E /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

LA won by 22 at York and it could have been worse. So for tomorrow night's game at Livingston, I will say:

LA 83

York 47

No mercy. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

How bout that prediction folks? 83-45 final. I will be making my 5 star pick on the Super Bowl for a small fee. Just call 1-800-bublgum.

And we all thought you were just kidding! I guess it ain't bragging when you can back it up? Toot-toot! You must have known something the rest of us didn't!

I called that number and they said something about making me a low interest loan!

Ok, I may be pressing my luck here but I'm going to make a prediction for LA and DC. I saw where Dekalb gave Upperman a pretty tough tussle so that factors into my prediction somewhat. Although, I still have little doubt LA is BETTER than Upperman. And Cat, the loan must come from the other direction as my portfolio will not support very many loans.

LA 71

Dekalb 55

ok ok guys enough with the predictions haha we sound like a bunch of hogeye mobster bookies haha .... back to last nights game did anyone else see that inbound oop dunk by brad ?!? that was crazy definitely killed the york crowd to see that for sure .... does anybody know how many fast break points LA had... id like to have one of those clocks that tell how many seconds it takes for them to score because last night it was like rebound or steal go score repeated over and over

After watching last nights game, it really looked like the team and Coach Melton had a "meeting of the minds", after the UHS loss.----- IMO, 'at times' last night, LA looked as good or 'better' than they had all season.------LA in a, hard working but easy, win at DCHS.-------GO------ H-O-G-E-Y-E /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> !

I saw Jackson's dunk and the one Chase got too. Let's see that's about 4 or 5 dunks LA has gotten in the last couple of home games. As far as last night, good performance against a team that is not very good. Good game for D.Ramsey and Peterman is a "warrior."

I keep missing all these dunks! I have only missed a couple of home games and they were the ones with dunks! I listen on the radio, but they never mention them.

LA 75 DC 60. This prediction wasn't hardly as impressive as the York prediction, but it is close. Only missed the point spread by one. LA wasn't real impressive, but a 15 point win on the road isn't bad. I will have my JC prediction a little later.

OK. At Livingston, the Cats blasted the Blue Devils 69-34. It appears upon examination of recent JC games they are big about keeping the tempo at a slow pace. As they only scored 34 @ LA, that may have been their game plan then. Obviously it didn't work and if they try it tomorrow night it will NOT work again. LA wins this one easily, but not as bad as it was at Livingston.

LA 67

JC 45

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
