In particular I'm curious how Aaron Trent is doing. Is he still at VMI? Update on Solomon Duannah? The '06 LB/DE from MoWest...#44 I think? Any news on a commit from Issac Kinley? Anyone?

 

Trent is still listed on the VMI roster for 2008 but i didn't see any stats from him so he probably red-shirted. Duannah is on the roster for University of Nebraska-Omaha but as the same as Trent doesn't have stats. I think your thinking of JJ Sims for MoWest, last i heard he went to Carson Newman but he isn't on the roster anymore

Aaron Trent is doing well. He was not redshirted at VMI. He started on special teams (kick offs & kickoff returns). Looks as though, he may be moved to defensive end. Aaron was 3rd on the depth chart at outside linebacker. We'll see come spring practice on what happens.

 

Solomon Duannah was redshirted at Omaha. He isn??™t very happy there. He may transfer out.

 

I haven't heard anything yet on Issac.

My understanding is Issac commited to Carson Newman. I would like to have confirmation on that. I also understood he was to visit Charleston last weekend. Did that cancel? With Danny Thomas already there and Jeff Green along with Taylor Fletcher it seems Issac would be a shoe in to put the Tri Cities on the map in Charleston. Anyone else from the Hilltoppers?

I was at the combine in Johnson City Saturday with Bobby and I spoke to a couple of the Science Hill coaches. My understanding from them is that Issac is signing with Carson Newman. Is Taylor committed to Charleston now?

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
