Here are the results for the district 6 tournament:

Boys: 1st - Soddy Daisy

2nd - Hixson

Soddy's pinfalls were 3666 the first match [1216, 1217, 1233]

and 3585 (with 5 subs the 3rd game) [1308, 1224, 1053]

Girls: 1st - Soddy Daisy

2nd - Chattanooga Christian

As for Sequatchie, we almost squeezed out a victory over Hixson in the first round, but barely fell short. For Soddy, Matt Lyon bowled 1219 through 5 games and Scott Demirjian had 1362 through 6. Also, Kaleb Langston bowled very well against Hixson with a 259 the first game and a 211 the second. Wesley Williams also had some great games the first match against David Brainerd. Congrats to all of the teams who made it to regionals! Good luck to all of you, and please let us know scores and wins!

Congratulations Soddy Daisy for both girls and boys district titles, also congrats to CCS girls for their runner up in District.

Although reading this post would point out that sequatchie17 is really not from Sequatchie at all. Looking at all the post from sequatchie17, it would give you the feeling this person could be from Soddy. "Maybe"

Well, coach... For Scott Demirjian's information, could you specify exactly what you mean, please? Haha. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

However, we do bowl against Sequatchie, which would make me a Sequatchie-bowler. And I'm 17 years of age. So there you have it.

Let's not forget some of the girls accomplishments/highlights from the tournament.

In Hixson's match against Sequatchie County Brittany Marcum had a 624 series (202, 195, 227) and Andria Aurand (224, 178). In the match against Soddy Daisy, Jarrelle Wolfe had a nice 580 series (220, 188, 172). Brittany followed with a 560 series (200, 192, 168). Andria had a nice 186 game.

Soddy Daisy's Niki Bell led the Lady Trojans with a 618 series (210, 213, 195). Sara Merritt (203), Lindsay Wright (200) and Valerie Brown (188) helped to secure the victory against Chattanooga Christian.

All in all, the tournament was a great success and it was wonderful to see all the great bowling from all the teams that made it to district. Well done bowlers!

Bradley central boys won district 5. I think they shot around a 3500 from what I was told.

    • Looks like South Pittsburg added some more talent!
    • So much talk about an investigation about student record manipulation and then everything has went silent. Has anyone heard how the investigation is going?
    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
