At Drakes Creek Qualifier: (one berth to winner)

In 10U, I know Frost Falcons 98 were in Finals but had to win twice but do not know how it ended and who received berth. (Only 4 teams)

In 12U, TN Illusions were playing Warriors in finals

In 14U, Chattanooga Force won berth. Would have to say favorites for remaining berths in TN are Fury 94, Nashville Cruisers, Fury 95 and Lady Aces of Knoxville plus Mustangs of N GA area. Also, White Lightning gave some teams a run for the money.

In 16U, Three teams left playing and not sure of results were Team Worth (In drivers seat) Thunderbolts were playing the Nighthawks for spot in Finals.

In 18U, Attack won tournament. Not sure of favorites in TN

Who is coming to Chattanooga for another berth this weekend

NIGHTHAWKS won the 16U division with 2 wins over Team Worth in the finals.

I noticed on AB's 14U Cruisers this weekend he had a couple new faces I don't remember from last summer. The one girl played with one of the worth teams last year(I think) but the girl he had batting lead off I've never seen before.

If you are going to consider the fury and cruisers as favorites you have to throw in the TN Force as well. The Force was up 1 to 0 in the first game against the Fury '94 when the umpire's strike zone just disappeared. The pitcher for the Force could not get a strike call and walked three batters in a row for the first time in her career. The pitcher was the Freshman from Creek Wood who held Goodpasture to two runs one being a Cartwright homer. this pitcher just doesn't walk three in a row. She was having a very good game up until that point. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

"O&W" I was wondering were ya'll were at Sunday evening when I got to go over to Veteran's park! Came over to watch this TN Force team play you were talking about back during HS season but ya'll had already left. Those umpire's aren't any better in ASA than they are is HS or anything else. Just tell your DD to have a real bad memory with every batter & that it will be alright...... better luck next time. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

I don't think after this weekend that the Fury 94 or the Nashville Cruisers are favorite's to win anything in ASA. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

im pretty sure the Fury 94 got the win this weekend, beating the Fury 95 twice in the championship. Both teams played well all weekend. So that would be The Chattanooga Force and Fury 94 with 2 of the 4 14U berths so far.

How did Team Worth look this weekend. What was the order of finish and how many 16U's were there in the tournament?

In the 14's 1. Fury 94 (qualified)

2. Fury 95

3. Xplosion

4. Chatt. Force (qualified)

5. Lady Aces/Cruisers (if memory serves me correctly)

The 16's were at Warner, so I'm not sure how many teams were there.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
