It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether or not you get back up that counts. Success is a journey, not a destination. To the Panther team: only you know how good you can be this season, it's your choice and opportunity to erase the bad taste in you r mouth right now. Make no excuses, never except defeat, and never, never, quit fighting, and good things will happen. Fan/Antwan: It was a bad night with similar situations: turnovers will devastate you, no matter the game or its players...example, check the stats from Tech's game...total yards TTU-332 BGSU-328. Our defense stayed in the redzone all noght long with two blocked punts, a fumble, and a screen that was considered a fumble which led to 24 of 41 first half points. Believe it or not, they kept their starters in (as 1a teams must for ratings) and we held them scoreless and to 86 yds in the second half. We have something to build on, as does Portland in the second half. I guess the growing pains hurt just a little more. As for me, no time for licking wounds, Seneca Wallace and Iowa State await, and I look forward to picking off the Heisman candidate (doesn't hurt to dream?) :D;)

Dream? Bro your going to get one...as for Portland...I believe Trousdale will be in for a dogfight. I hope they beat each other up real bad. :) Cant help myself.

Fan(Good luck!!!)

4755...I do not have any idea who you are but you don't know how great it is to hear something like that...great timing and thanks. And while I'm passing out the "thank yous", Antwan, thanks for the kind words and mark. I never have to worry about leaving it all on the field b/ce in the position I'm in, if I don't I won't be on the field the next week! Portland will play hard, that I'm sure of, and they'll play better with who they have right now, that they are sure of, they are just so thin (#s) and young, but they do fight...as you well know that's step 1 in building something positive. Bowling Green will get theres next week when Missouri comes to town...did you see what they did to Illinois? Anyway, thanks again and best of luck to the Owls of Smith Co. By the way, nice jamboree...hint/hint :)

    • Never in my life have I seen a team in a scrimmage against their own defense look so lost and confused. The defense didn’t look much better, the coaching staff can’t keep their anger together, not only with the players but also with their other coaches. I feel awful for those players. None of them look like they wanted or should’ve been out there, but for the grown men on the sidelines acting like fools, it's just embarrassing to the Farragut name and reputation. I now see why they chose not to live stream this on their YouTube channel.
    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
