basketball101
Who is going to win it? I say Wartburg goes undeafeted.
bitterfan
I agree with you. Not as much on the undeafeted thing, because it's baseball and Coalfield is going to be pretty good. Both these teams are going to move on to the region, but I give the edge to Wartburg because they have that group of seniors that have been playing down there forever. Plus, It never hurts to have the best player in the Region on your team.
pianomaster3
Bitterfan, I assumer your referring to Daugherty? I agree with you he is the best player in the Region, but he can't do it all. Although, I did see him the other day and he appears to have slimmed down and put on some muscle. Coach said he saw him throw and he looked pretty good. But those other boys are gonna have to play clutch ball down the stretch. I think Wartburg will win it though, just too much experience both good and bad. I played against those kids since we were about 7 and most of those kids out there and just like my old teammates. Best of Luck to them this year.
bitterfan
Yes, I was reffering to him. I don't know if loosing weight will help him, because his size is one of the things that helps him. It looks pretty intimidating. Last year in our final game of the year he was impressive. Pitched a good game (even though I hit a home run off him) but then he turned around and hit a walk-off on me (run-rule walks off if those actually count). But I think it will be Wartburg and Harriman in the Region Championship. What kinda game would that be? Daugherty Vs. Pryor Two big strong kids. Hopefully i'll be able to come in from college and watch it if it comes to that. Good luck to all the region teams though. Hopefully it can be Two Region 2 teams in the state tournament again just like last year just maybe this time a lil bit better luck.
pianomaster3
Ya, That would be great. Your right Pryor is good. Is he getting any looks from anywhere? He can knock the cover off the ball. He's a good guy too, and that always makes it easier to cheer for him.
Took
i believe that the best player in the region could be tyler skidmore. hit is a great hitter and a good pitcher. i would rather have him over pryor or daughtery. not taking anything away from them. rockwood is down this year, but they have a new firey coach which has already instilled great discipline in them. is daughtery, pryor, skidmore getting any looks from colleges? basketball101
Daugherty is looking at Roane State last I heard, and possibly Trevecca Nazerene. Paper said he hit over .500 last year with 44 RBI's and three homers. Plus we won 8 games with an ERA under 2. Pretty good sounding to me. What was Pryor and Skidmore's Numbers? pianomaster3
Officaially 41-75 on the year including tournaments. If my math skills aren't too rusty, that's over .500. I was told he hit somewhere around .700 in the district and I can believe it. Every game I watched him play he had two or three hits every time. And to say he didnt play good competition, is wrong. He went 2-4 at Loudon, and 2-3 at CAK.

harriman23
What about the other teams? how will os, oakdale, oneida and sunbright be I think oakdale will be about the same, sunbright will maybe down a little with loss of hawn, oneida has one pitcher and really nothing else, and I haven't heard anything on os.
