In defense to Tyler and Spencer. I think that they would have made more of a difference than any player that Maryville was missing.

I would have to agree with 3amigo here. Tyler Gibson is a huge injury for Catholic, and without Spencer, they did not have much offense. But congrats to Maryville for staying in the game and coming through in the end. Good luck to both teams as the season begins.

Man you Catholic guys are great at handing out back handed compliments. Maryville did way more than just stay in that game. They dominated the second half except for a PK. Now maybe Catholic was missing a couple of good players, but two players don't make a team. You need to bring it with what is on the field. As I said injuries are part of any sport.

Good luck to both teams for a Great Season!

Considering the circumstances, I think Catholic played very well. It is just a scrimmage, but to be missing the caliber players that they are missing is always going to be tough. Catholic definitely had better chances in the 1st half. Both teams looked to be very excited about finally getting to play. The intensity was fun to watch and by the end of the 1st half Catholic had more chances on goal. And even though Maryville won the 2nd half, I'm not so sure that I would consider Maryville dominating that half.

Maryville possessed the ball very well and put the ball away when they got the opportunity. On a team that is starting 6 sophomores, 2 juniors, and 3 seniors, it's hard to know what kind of squad you are going to have for each game. I have a feeling it's going to be an exciting year.

Good luck to both.

We'll know a lot more about Maryville next Thursday when Morristown West comes to town. Should be a good test.

Im going to have to say that you are use the word "dominated" very loosely. I am not sure of the shot count but I would have to give Catholic the upper hand. Maybe Maryville did control from 18 to 18 but I'm gonna say that Catholic definitely had more chances to score. But then again its not about chances, its about finishing those chances.

Sevier County 2

Alcoa 2

Good match for our 1st test. 1-0 Alcoa 1st 30 with straight varsity. Both started mixing after that. Sevier County had 2 really tricky forwards that are going to give people some fits and a very nice CM, I think #11. We had a lot of trouble gettting our shots off, so I give the SC D credit for being well organized. Pretty physical scrimmage which was good for us, since we've been playing against each other for so long. Good luck to the Bears!!!

One of the tricky forwards was probably #2? Stefan Fox? He is a pain in the butt to mark.

    • Upperman White County both will be loaded. Dyersbirg and South Side will be a handful as well. Getting about that time in about 3 weeks we start watching summer scrimmages. Dyersburg loaded loaded loaded with talent. Most talent ever I have seen in their program.
    • We, SP, blanked them 10-0 in sectional game during 21 season.
    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
