In a nutshell, Are you aware if there are any rules forbidding schools from soliciting sponsorship? and If so what could be possible punishment?

I don't think there are any rules regarding this matter with the possible exception of prohibiting you from having a name of a sponsor on a jersey or game pant(s). Some high school in Colorado is called PEPSI HIGH SCHOOL because Pepsi paid the school a huge amount of cash and built them a sports complex for the name on the door.

Rutherford County's sports programs do a good job of securing corporate sponsorship. You may want to ask a coach you know over there some quesitons.

 

They put boards up listing corporate sponsors at their athletic sites...and they do other things for corporate sponsors as well.
