Baseball643
I really respect the Farragut program. Their body of work is truely amazing... With that being said, I do get grin sometimes when they lose. I guess that's the "Yankee Factor." It gets old seing the same year dominate year after year, and everyone LOVES an underdog... And I am NOT one of the Region 2AAA Farragut Haters. I played 1A ball, so being able to play, let alone beat Farragut, was never, ever in the question. Heck ya its the Yankee factor. A big bullseye is on their back every time they take the field and they are well aware of it. That is how sports work. But to say the Admirals are cocky because they show up to win has no logic behind it.
Rico
That is a interpretation of the rules. Obviously teams don't have the strive to be the best they can be like the Admirals do. I believe it is under morals and ethics

At State in 03 against Memphis Houston while we were waiting for the field where our game was to be held to dry off... Even if they are cocky, they back it up. TKZ1025
I believe it is under morals and ethics No its not. Just like baseball643 said its an interpretation of the rules. Just because Farragut wants to be more successful and use the rules to practice and lift more, doesn't mean they have bad ethics or morals. No i know I wasn't referring to you saying they were cocky it was a joint response to another post. Not to you. Sorry about that. I believe it is under morals and ethics Just because other teams don't use the rules to their advantage doesn't mean the Admirals have bad morals and ethics. That was a stupid thing to say. sillyBearden
I played for Farragut Baseball for 4 years, and to call them classless is absurd. Please leave the childish insults out of this, coach Pharr always emphasized classy behavior, he would have rather us lost every game then not been good sports or good people and he pretty much drilled that into our heads 3 times a day. I'll take my 3 state rings, but on top of that Coach Pharr taught me a lot, and anyone who doesn't know much about the guys in the Farragut program really need to just chill out and realize its just a game. sillyBearden
I mean yeah, Farragut has more talent than most other teams, but I can guarantee that no one in the state works harder than the Farragut Baseball program, especially if their schedule is anything like it was back when I was playing for them. No days off.
cbg
Is Faragut cocky or just confident in their ability?
StealthBuster
Is Faragut cocky or just confident in their ability? Any championship caliber team or player has a "Swagger" about them. It dosen't mean "I'm better than you". Just means "I'm gonna beat you". That is 100% correct. Coach Pharr is definitely a class act and every team he coaches wins and loses with class. I think that's what makes Farragut Baseball so special, the fact that they have some of the best players around and also some of the best people. As for why everyone hates them, I have no clue. Can anyone give me an actual reason that has some sense behind it?

Can anyone give me an actual reason that has some sense behind it? Jealousy would be my guess. All the Summer teams in Georgia probably hate the top East Cobb team too. I think it's natural to be a little cocky when you're successful regardless of what sport you play. Tiger Woods in golf, Nadal or Federer in tennis, the Patroits or Gators in football, any sport where you dominate. Everyone else wants to be like them...want some of that magic.
