I went to this game. Ravenwood did not look as sharp as they have in the past. Centennial was surprising. They have gotten alot better this year.

Centennial/Independence have gotten better and the players showed a lot of class and it comes from the coach on down.

I was very disappointed with Brentwood Highs defense during tonights game. They let MBA have every clear and really didnt try to pressure them at all. They got lazy and let MBA's middies move around like the defense wasn't even there, the goalie did do a good job he stopped a large majority of the outside shots but really had no other help from his team.

MBA beat Westminister 11 - 9 after having an 8 - 4 halftime lead. MBA was very sloppy with several unforced turnovers. Was not all that impressed with Westminister, although they had one kid, maybe #17, was a pretty good player. Good win for MBA though. They showed a lot of heart in the 4th quarter when Westminister started coming back.

    • Wanted to see if all of you would lift up Kyle James family in prayer. Kyle was one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Soddy Daisy and as some of you know he lost his house a few weeks ago and now his family and friends mourns his passing. Not sure if any of you were around in early 2000’s when Kyle was wrestling at Soddy, but he was a 3 time state champ and a Fargo AA along with going to Colorado to train to make the Olympic team. That goal was never reached due to medical issues, but he was an amazing wrestler and his family is as good as gold. If you were around at that time and have any pictures of Kyle, please go onto Alexy Winesburgh FB page and post. Thanks, Doug Benton
    • My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
    • I understand Gibson Co. will be announced tomorrow with a familiar name. Not sure about So. Gibson.
    • A huge addition to the staff today! Former Hardin Valley legend and Richmond College running back Aaron Dykes was announced as the running backs coach. Rushed for over 3,000 yards at HVA, with 35 total touchdowns. I loved watching in Hardin Valley. I can’t believe he’s at Bearden now. I know he was trying to get a HVA job, I don’t know what happened there and how he ended up at Bearden, but I'm glad he’s here and believe he will be teaching art class as well! What a good get for the staff!!
    • Thoughts? Gordonsville won it last year with a sophomore pitcher and returned almost everybody. Can anyone beat them?
