I wont' claim to know the West roster well enough to argue this, but I thought it look like an awful lot of the same players from the first half to the second to me. I know a few starters were still out there. Tanner only came off when he was hurt. Just my observation.

It seemed like the entire starting defense never came back in after the first half. Not to take anything away from CAK, but I think that was a large part to the four goals in the second half. Some of the starters came back in after the third goal, but only offense, I'm pretty sure. At that point there was like five minutes left. They play again in the regular season, that will be the true test between the two teams.

Again, either way, it was a scrimmage. Teams are going to sub and try different people in different spots. I am sure in regular season, West would play a different line up.

I wish we did play in the regular season, but we weren't able to fit it in (we play Morristown West at the Bearden tournament).

We need to be careful not to put TOO much emphasis on scrimmages. I know we haven't started the same line up in any of our scrimmages...and it has shown!

Also, Webb played a great game last night. They have some very gifted players and played hard and with a lot of class. Our team made a couple of good runs at them trying to get back into the game but could not overcome the deficit. Coach Harbin and his team will be very good again this year.

G, It was good seeing you today. I wanted to brag on your players. Watching them work with all those children at the "Kids Soccer Camp" today was something special. Winning games and even championships means a lot...but when we make a positive impression on a child's life...well that is eternal. You have a really special group of young men playing for you. THANKS! My son had a great time.

Thanks coach! The guys really have a heart of service, and were more than willing to help out with the kids. It warms my heart, too, to see them laughing and playing with those kids. I'm honored to be a part of the whole experience!

Ned, thanks for posting the link. Can't wait for the tournament!

No problem.

We definitely have our work cut out for us this year. Playing Notre Dame, Gallatin, and Houston will not be an easy task. Who are you all playing?

Houston, Hendersonville and Morristown West (although I don't think in that order). Like you, some really tough opponents. I love it!

    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
    • That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.
    • Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.
