Sequatchie won 7-2. Except for a couple of problems in the field it was a strong performance. Josh Key pitched a 1-hitter, 8 K, 2 walks. Sequatchie had 11 hits, 2 each by four players (McDonough, Dykes, Bartley, Cooley) and one each by three others. Bartley had a solo HR, Cooley and McDonough each hit a double. Sequatchie scored one run each in the first three innings. Grundy cut it to 3-2 in the top of the fourth without a hit. Seq added one in the fourth, two in the fifth, one in the sixth. Grundy played a pretty clean game defensively except for pickoff attempts at first.

Good to see you at a baseball game Indian. Pretty good crowd tonight, hope it will stay that way through out the season. Good solid district win tonight. We still need to cut down on simple errors and base running mistakes, but i think as the season goes on Coach Roberson will rectify the mistakes.
