If you ask me I would think it would have to be in the low 18 minutes and below.I might be off alittle but thats a good time for a Community College scholarship if not in the mid 17 minute range.

Are we talking for boys or girls?

If boys- I would say low 17's and under- preferrably under, and if we are talking girls- under 19, preferrably in the 18's- for college!

this is all subjective because it depends on which level we're talking, and there are no set times you must run to get a scholarship. depends on the improvement shown and a million other variables. also, depends on who you beat and where you place at big meets like state and footlocker. in general though, if youre looking to go division 1, and get money, you would probably need to run around 9:30, 4:25 and sub 2 min. track times will be much more relevent to coaches than cross times for obvious reasons. this is just my two cents...take it for what its worth.

I am the 3rd runner for tullahoma cross country this year and the second runner (this year) who was also a soph like me ran a time of 16:16 and placed 29th in the class AAA state championships. Does anyone think he has a chance to run in college. What about a time of 17:14 as a soph?

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
