Marcum would have liked to stay at temple but the school cut his salery and he had to make the move for his family

The administration at St. Bennedicts was especially impressed by Marcums ability to recruit and get kids in school. He should fit in fine there and in D-II.

I knew that a change was going to happen, but I did not know and dont know who is going to be the new coach. I have heard Alexanders name, but surely someone else will emerge as a leading candidate. Any names out there?

Congrats to Caleb! He really had no other option--unless he wanted to work 6 part-time jobs just to support his family. If the new coach happens to be Mark Alexander, he will do a good job. He knows the game. Go Eagles!

Any word on how Coach Marcum's leaving will affect other sports at Temple. I know there were several teams that only existed b/c he wanted to keep them going and basically made kids play (such as baseball). Also, any word on who will take over basketball?
