Friday

Maryville @ Alcoa 7

McCallie @ Baylor 7

Science Hill @ Bearden 7

MTN Fire @ Farragut 7:30

Farragut 3-0

1st half 0-0 Farragut didn't play too badly, though looked somewhat sluggish, certainly not like they did the night before. Fire not really pressuring but they did seem to play a patient game. Only one real opportunity for Fire came on an indirect kick inside the box at about the 15 yrd mark - penalty called for obstruction. Fire tapped ball and bullet directly to Shea, quick hands caught ball. Nothing else of real consequence developed rest of half.

Wally must have had an inspiring half-time speech as they came out looking more like themselves. Keeper change as Steven came in for Shea. 5 mins in, Muth who is now playing MID put a perfect pass to Marshall; 1-0. 10 mins in, direct kick by Marshal, ball skipped around Muth knocks it in; 2-0. 14 mins left, hand ball in box, PK by Muth, Fire keeper guessed right, nice save. 4:30 left, ball played into box Fire attempted to clear, ball went more sideways than backwards directly to Carlos, great finish 3-0.

Busy week with three wins. Next week just as packed, with three more to play.

no; the keeper missed the initial shot; the rebound was banged around and he dove on the ball and right when he got there the players foot got there; it was not intentional or dirty; just good hard soccer; also the keep has lost his stepmom over the weekend, so keep him in your prayers
