Another update on Grainger's Skylar McBee

The News Sentinel's Jesse Smithey has keeping track of the recruiting of East Tennessee's Skylar McBee. Here's his latest update with Santa Clara, Marshall, East Carolina and Winthrop all the mix. But with Wake Forest losing interest.

I believe he will end up at Santa Clara. That is what the boys are saying.

Word is he really enjoyed his official to Santa Clara and he fits their style of play. Word also is that Bobby Cremins wants him pretty bad at College of Charleston and is shocked that no other big schools have signed him. Telling words from a man that's coached quite a few NBA players and been to the Final Four.

 

And Wake Forest is crazy...taking a foreign guard that just had double knee surgery and a JUCO guard no one else seemed to want. Good riddance to the Deacs.

I agree. Watched Skylar the past 3 years and what a player. He can do it all! Everyone says he didn't have a team and that is absurd. He made his teammates better. All this talk about he wouldn't do that somewhere else guess what he would not have to do as much making his game even more efficient!! The kid is a steal for any of those schools.

That would certainly be no surprise or loss to the large school. He has really struggled on the court but even more in the classroom.

Who are you talking about? Jurick? Would he have to sit out a year?

wasnt jurick redshirted and didnt play at ut yet? if so, doesnt that mean he could transfer and play immediately if everything else like grades were in order? was there any talk of omar wattad leaving georgetown also?

Skylar is going to walk on at UT. He's a Volunteer through and through. I hope he gets his scholarship as a sophomore.
