Dou... You could be right... Cordova returns the nucleus of a good team from last year. Their staff doesn't an excellent job from year to year. They will be a factor next year.

What are your thoughts on the QB position at Millington. Is it going to be Hunter White or Mario Harwell?

I think we are in a very good position they both bring something to the table, but I believe its Hunter he has the ability to do very well, he is a senior and has never lost as a starter in high school.

That's too funny... He has never started a Varsity game either. Mario has more experience at the Varsity level and gives you a "playmaker" at the QB position.

Just gave you my answer, I have seen both of them alot more than just Friday nights, had there not been a problem last year I believe you would have seen Hunter as the starter last year, I also believe that Harwell will be a great asset at other positions, because of his athletic ability.

Dou... Didn't mean to step on your toes there. It's just from what I have seen, Hunter is not much of a leader on or off the field. Maybe a year of maturity has changed things But If Not, I don't see him being the answer at QB. There is NO Way that he would have been the QB last year regardless of any "problem". Santerio was the starter and Mario was 2nd team. Hunter was no better than 3rd team. If Mario isn't the QB, I agree He will find a home at another position.

Mario does have more experience as far as running the ball but not at the qb postion. The boys that are seniors this year have never lost a season game ever. They went undeated their 9 grade year. They work well together as a team. The qb that year was Hunter White and he can work that 2 minute clock like no other.

Rob M,

All of our kids are great kids, we need to be careful when we allow our personal views to get in the way so much that we start personally attacking any of the kids character as you did with Hunter. Quote: "Hunter is not much of a leader on or off the field" That is not constructive for our team.

Mokie1.... I didn't say Hunter wasn't a good kid. I just stated my opinion that I didn't think he was much of a leader on or off the field. The "problem" that he had that caused him to have sit out games at the begining of last season justifys my opinion. I wish him the best of luck. I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong/ But, I remain skeptical on our ultimate success with him as the starting QB.

No need to defend your opinion, you are entitled to it even if it seems that you have a personal axe to grind with this kid, weird... But the fact is the next year senior boys are proven winners. It is going to be a great season!

    • Congratulations to Huntingdon and Station Camp. Lots of good softball in Tennessee. Alcoa been media favorite last two seasons.
    • Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!
    • No doubt. ORC a good dude.
    • In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
