Sequatchie 10-0 over East Ridge in 5. Dawson pitched a perfect game and the defense behind her made good plays to preserve it. She and five others each had 2 hits. Sequatchie scored three in the first and finished the game with seven in the fifth.

Marion beat Hixson 2-1 with a game-winning hit in the bottom of the seventh.

Marion and Sequatchie play tomorrow at 5 Eastern, the winner goes on to the championship game, the loser is done for the year. Grundy-Bledsoe and CCS-Notre Dame should be finished by now. Those winners will meet tomorrow. The coaches of the last four teams are deciding on whether to play the finals tomorrow or risk putting it off until Wednesday.

Marion played good ball today against Hixson. They had great defense with only one error I believe and some good hits. Freshman Taylor Brown laid down two great bunts that moved the runners into scoring position twice! Tomorrow they face Sequatchie, which should shape up to be a great game. Good luck Lady Warriors, believe in yourselves, trust your team mates, and have fun:) GO PURPLE!!!!

CCS over Sequatchie 5-3 in the final. Chargers led 4-0 in the third (1, 2, 1 runs) with several extra base hits including a 2B and HR by Long. Sequatchie made it 4-3 in the bottom of the third with hits and CCS errors, all three unearned but they all count. Sequatchie had 2nd and 3rd with one out in the 5th but popped up and struck out, that was crucial and CCS worked to get out of it. Curtis made it 5-3 with a solo HR in the 7th. Sequatchie had 2, 3 and 4 up in the bottom of the 7th but grounded out, struck out looking (a pretty iffy call but close enough to swing at) and grounded out. Hits were just one apart, 9-8 in favor of CCS but all of Sequatchie's were singles and they couldn't put more than two together. Sequatchie's Cooley was 3-4, O'Dell, Long, Beatty each had two hits for CCS.

Sequatchie won 6-3 over Marion. Sequatchie scored 3 in the second with a bases loaded walk (Green) and a bloop (Mitchell) that dropped in center and scored two. Marion got one back in the third with three hits, doubles by Dagnon and McClendon. Dagnon's hit wasn't far from going over. Sequatchie scored two more in the third, RBI single by Carlton, RBI groundout by Green. 6-1 in the fourth with an RBI single by Burgess. Marion scored two in the sixth, two singles and a triple by Brown. Sequatchie's Mitchell was 3-4 and Carlton was 2-3.

CCS beat Grundy 4-0. Grundy will be good again next year, they lose a good centerfielder to graduation but should bring back everyone else. Marion also returns nearly everybody and drops down to Class A. This will probably jinx them a year in advance but it wouldn't surprise me to see them advance to the state tournament.

CCS will host the 5-AA runner-up, Sequatchie will travel. Both games will be tough regardless of whether it's Sweetwater, Meigs or Boyd finishing 1 and 2. This will be the first region appearance for Sequatchie since the start of the decade.
