CCHS kicks off at home next friday vs Marion Co., who was a 2A semifinalist last yr, but graduated nearly 20 seniors from last yrs team. if CCHS can continue to stop the run this will give a real shot to upset Marion. come support the jets next friday ITS FOOTBALL TIME ON THE PLATEAU!

Hey Jets, I am from Marion. I think that Marion only lost around 10-12 seniors from last year. Numbers are up with 75 out and were going to be senior laden this year. Lost a couple of key players from last years team, but the first of the year is a good time to catch them, they should be clicking by the end. Marion is definitely going back to a running system much like the mid nineties. We have 7 coming back on defense and 5 on offense, but there are a lot of kids and a couple of transfers that played a lot last year, but just weren't starters... What bout the jets, tell us marion fans some about yall

The jamboree wasn't a disapointment. We took a lot from it. We moved the football very well but a fumble inside the 20 and a stop on the goalline prevented us from scoring. The defense gave up some decent runs but missed tackles. The kids played w heart and are ready for a good week of practice. We will be ready for friday night. GO JETS!

hey Jet fans dont get worried because we didnt preform well in the jamboree. there were a few factors going into the quarter that we played that had the boys momentum not exactly where it should be. Also keep in mind on wednesday we put it together for 4 quarters against a good team from knoxville in south doyle and came away victorious. friday night we need all the support we can get. im hoping to see the stands completely packed w rabid jet fans that are ready to rock and roll. Marion Co. thinks they are gonna just walk in here kick us around for 4 quarters and head back to the valley with an easy w. well not so fast my friend. we dont take arrogance from teams that are 2A, and dont play anyone and have a patheticly easy schedule, very lightly.. lets come together as a community and support the real team from cumberland county! J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!!!!!!

ok Jet fans the time is finally here! we will be kicking off the 2009 season in less than 24 hours! Marion Co. still believes that they will come to the plateau and run away with an easy victory.. one thing the coaching staff has been getting the boys to believe is that teams dont come to our house and get victories. we need to get behind our boys and help make that a true statement. energy and intensity will be felt by the guys on the field if the fans are loud and proud all night long. ITS FOOTBALL TIME ON THE PLATEAU!! GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
    • Let's get and support the Pirates in Murfreesboro.
