Jet fans the kids played thier hearts out last night.. we play some young players that are good and they are gaining experience every week. we are really close to being a good team. all the things that we didnt execute on last night are very fixable. we have to keep in mind that we are also missing 4 seniors right now. Eric Fitzgerald out to do to injury, Aaron Kirkland has to sit 2 games because he moved over summer and then came back to Crossville, Cody Vance and Matt Greene out 3 games due to off the field incident. No excuses made for last nights performance, but with 4 seniors back in the lineup will make us that much more competitive. You take a couple plays away from last nights game and we are right in it at half time. Marion is a beatable team, you find some teams that will stop the dive they are pretty limited after that. This was game 1 of a long season we have to stay motiviated and behind our Kids 100%. Ceaser didnt rebuild Rome in a day, things are headed in the right direction we just have to keep believing. Next week is Meigs County i am hoping to find some info on Meigs if anyone knows anything please let us know.

Meigs Co. is a wing t team that seemed to execute pretty well against greenback this past friday night. Greenback is a 1A football team that went 8-2 last year with a trip to the second round of the playoffs. Meigs dominated GHS 26-6. Meigs is 3A w a larger talent pool, but Meigs also went 3-7 last year. So either MCHS is that much more improved or GHS just fell off terribly. This will be a good test for CCHS, we must have a great week of practice, execute the game plan, and put the Marion Co. game out of our memory. I truely believe we can go down and get a W if we do these things. I hope we travel well to Meigs bc we need all the support the community can provide. Go Jets!
