Preseason All-State

Recommended Posts

Unlike the 3A team I am not going to attempt the guess an entire "all-state team" for 4A but I will start the thread because I know some posters have listed their teams players on the 3A thread.

Players that I would like to show some attention to include:

Quarterbacks: Bo Wallace (Giles Co.), Hunter Poteete (DeKalb Co.), Broc Loveless (Spring Hill), & Trox Greenwade (White House)

Running Backs: Stanley Hagan (Maplewood), William Officer (David Lipscomb), Bryan Dixon (White House), Landon Morris (Sycamore), & Tobias Houston (Giles Co.)

Wide Receivers: Abram Edwards (DeKalb Co.), Xavier Lee (Spring Hill), Broaderick Tears & David Tadajewski (Marshall Co.)

Offensive Linemen: Garrett Mayberry (Sycamore)

Linebackers: William Stevens (David Lipscomb)

James Stone - Maplewood. 6'5" 300 lbs. #1 in TN, #36 Nationally (Unapproved Website). 21 Major D-1 offers. 28 ACT. 3.8 CORE G.P.A. in all Honors & AP courses. Never made less than a "B" in his academic career! U.S. Army All-America Game Jan. 9th, 2010!!

Yes he is a man amongst boys out there. I had a chance to see him three times last fall. I watched him in Maplewood's jamboree when they played Antioch. I also saw him in Maplewood's season opening win last year on the Saturday night in week zero when they beat Memphis East. I also saw him play on television when Maplewood played Hillsboro on the Thursday night television game. Are any of those other big linemen back for Maplewood? They were a gigantic team!

Is Parks back at WR for Maplewood this year? He was a playmaker!

I saw both Hunter Poteete (Dekalb Co) and Trox Greenwade (White House) play last year and I was very impressed. They both should be very good this year!

GREENWADE HAS BIG , BIG , BIG TIME POTIENTIAL AS A PUNTER. HE HAS ALSO BROKE A FEW RECORDS AS A QB AT WHITE HOUSE AND SHOULD BREAK THE REST OF THEM THIS YEAR.

I agree with the majority of your picks. However, I don't think Loveless and Tadajewski should be on there. They are both very good athletes...just not All-State.

A couple I will add from the Chattanooga area, RB Keon Williams Red Bank (May be the top prospect in the state No one has heard about due to him sitting out last year on transfer rule!!)

Jonathan Robinson FB/LB Chatt Central getting looks from MTSU, E. Kentucky, Louisville, among numerous 1-AA schools.

How are you getting Lipscomb position change information, i.e.. the Stevens move to Linebacker hasn't been published anywhere? I don't believe most team parents even know this.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
