i still think they will win 20 plus games this year. 4 of their 5 starters can put up 20 points a game for sure. last year they lost a lot of games because of free throws and defense......if they can improve these things they will WIN THE DISTRICT.

 

 

chances are, your a student, and a player...and are going to be very disapointed come the end of the season.

Who did Hampshire hire to coach the girls basketball team...

 

 

I heard they had interviewed and hired someone. I havent heard anything since Friday, so it may be just a rumor.

 

As for the boys, do you really think they will finish higher than middle of the pack in the district? It is Hampshire.

i would say middle of the pack would be very wishfull thinking. but hey maybe they'll suprise me! thats the thing about basketball, i can think somethin all day and easily be wrong in the end!

what happened to lemay and mayberry...did they quit... rumor in hampshire is they went somewhere else....

 

 

Mayberry went to Milan. His mother accepted a Principal job at the Milan middle school. Lemay is just no longer with the team. He was given plenty of chances.

the hawks will still be ok though.....they have some freshmen comin up that are pretty athletic but they just have to get smarter at the game of b ball and get stronger. they also have to play with CONFINDENCE.

How tall is your tallest player?

How well can they handle the ball?

How well do they shoot the ball?

Did they get any transfers in?

 

Going from 4-6 wins one year and then 20+-state championship is a big jump in a short time.

 

Honestly, I've never heard of Hampshire until this thread right here. I hope you guys put Hampshire on the map and be the cinderella team next year! Best of luck to you guys and work hard...anything is possible!

They got a special exemption and are playing either in the state's middle school association or the newly formed intermural league the TSSAA has formed to increase revenues. The closest they will come to a state championship is visiting a school that has won one already or going to Murfreesboro and buying a ticket on Saturday.

      Im asking everyone to keep roy whited and his family in your prayers. Coach whited won back to back state championships at white county in 98-99. He is very well liked and respected in this area. For those of you that dont know he went missing 3 days ago. No one knows where he is. His truck was found in a rural part of the county. Thanks again. We are all very concerned.

      I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.

      I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!

      Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
