Aug. 31st seems like along time off since Coach Brown resigned July 1. That would be a two month hiring process...sounds like a problem with high school kids like Leonard committing to MTSU and Heady still in the balance. Seems like they would want to get this completed...UT Martin didn't take nearly as long and I see their staff out grinding the recruiting stone. Best of luck to who gets the job but they will be behind on the recruiting board.

I really never heard of a recruit committing to an assistant especially assistants that in all likelyhood will be gone after a head coach is hired. A new coach will certainly want to bring in his or her own staff...I would think you would not keep staff members on board that didn't get the job done under Coach Brown. But then again a new coach may be forced to keep the current staff (not a situation many new coaches will embrace). Again, very slow process indeed if it takes two months i guess they are trying to save money!

The recruiters in place now, were recruiters under coach Worrell.

One is from Lawrenceburg via Columbia St. The other is a TTU grad from LA.

Anyone have an idea who the finalists are-any leaks. Went to affirmative action to approve then supposed to be bringing in for interviews

No leaks just rumors.

What is this affirmative action stuff? A good coach is a good coach no matter what!

Unless it is a CYOA situation to keep lawyers out of it. That would be a catch22, need a lawyer to keep other lawyers off your back. :thumb:

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
